Looking to drive for myself. What’s the best way to get in with a broker to start getting loads?

Why? It’s sound easy? Well it’s not. The right way to do it is to work and train with a company at least 2 years. Then you’ll learn that a tractor trailer (7-8 cars) is better.

if you do start your own, make sure you have adequate cargo ins. Many wont take you on with a 4 car unless you got 150k in cargo. Get on central dispatch to find loads but consider getting your own page up and running and submit your info to allcarhaulers.com as well. That way you can have customers call you without the broker intermediary.
