Hello Again Guys,
lost power 2x - TWO TIMES today - the symptom:
driving both times about * 40/45 MPH and I loose power - get off to the side
and wait about 10 min and then it will go again .. but only after 5 to 10 min.
not a engine overheat issue - no error lights on dash.
was able to turn engine on and move about 20 feet
forward and or backwards - then loose power
** coolant level ok - not hot
* NO Error on DASH ! - sometimes I will get the check transmission - but for now
no errors with THIS issue
At first I thought it was the transmission - but now I'm thinking it is a sensor
for Fuel related??
Truck is - 2012 Volvo D13 - 700.000 miles
Thanks in Advance

Is it getting hot?... Check your coolant level. Mine acted simular a few days ago... Topped up the coolant and it quit. I dont know why 1 gallon of coolant would make that big a difference but it fixed it.

Throttle pedal bad or cups leaking my first two guesses without anything further

Try going into your menu on the dash and resetting everything. If that don't work, it may be your fuel injectors going bad. I had the same problem and showed the same symptoms.

Check the battery terminals and how much voltage does the dash show driving down the toad?

Does your whole dash loose power and truck shuts off if so check batteries if tight or main shut off switch for batteries needs to be replaced.
Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
If you lose power only it might be the brake switch on the brake pedal. I had something similiar. Driving down the road and all of sudden no power from the engine. Always at lower speed and I would park for a bit then move off and it would work fine for awhile. It took the volvo tech almost half a day to figure it out. Just like you no codes, no signs of anything wrong. They thought it was the fuel pump, then wanted to change the fuel lines, then the injectors. What a pain, till another mechanic came in and said to check the brake switch behind the pedal. As it can work loose and the cut power as the truck thinks you are braking. Good luck, let us know what it turns out.
Newto Trucking and Socal Xpress Thank this. -
Have you changed the fuel filter, you should keep some extra fuel filters in your side box and the filter tool to change them?
