Just wondering if anyone else does this. When you have someone coming towards you and blinding you with the brights do you flash your brights at them?
A couple of months ago I started turning my headlights off and then back on instead of blinding them back with the brights. Seems to be just as effective at giving them a reminder their high beams are on.

as i do in my 4-wheeler, if i notice someone has their high-beams on, ill give them a quick flash as a reminder. give them 3-5 sec. and if they still dont turn them down, i give them a longer flash....and give them 2-3 seconds...if they still arent down, then i turn mine on and leave them on.
Figure if they want to be disrespectful and leave them on after i've politely reminded them they were on....then screw em. =)
and if it happens to be a cop, then i'll wish i turned on my 100 trillion-billion-million candle power flashlight so he has a nice tan before turning around to give me a ticket. =) either that or melt the paint off his car. =) -
I turn off first if that dose not work then a quick flash and lastly if all else has failed I flash and hold until they get the point.

I have had been reminded of having my high beams on when in actuality my high beams are not on. The only option I would have is to turn off my headlights or turn my brights on to hopefully indicate that my brights weren't on. I have even been flashed after passing a truck. I get stressed when passing or coming up to a truck. This is when I am driving my four wheeler.
