I've worked nights now for around 8 years now I do it so I can be home during the day for family reasons but I wouldn't go back to days. Like being on my own and no customer contact. Of course, now that it's warming up here in the tundra the drunks and homeless are starting to be out at the key stops Had one compliment me on my backing skills the other night before he asked me for a smoke. Don't smoke but I always appreciate positive feedback from anywhere at this job

Sorry but I work out of a Co-Op; since there are so few of us I really don't want to throw that out there just yet.

That's awesome! I have been doing an average of 55 hours a week until recently. I think this week might actually be under 40.

My Sysco house has been slammed all winter No letup at all. They are begging for drivers. Just sent 10 whse guys to driving school because they can't get applicants. Can't imagine what it is going to be like come summer. That being said, the previous guy was right. You'll be begging for this in July. Be careful what you wish for

My routes were crazy heavy for the first half of the week, like 1000+ cases for 18-19 stops, including extra stops out of my normal area. I figured the trend would continue all week, so I opted to not go in on my day off. Then these past two routes were stupid easy, under 10 hours and I'm the first driver back. Only got about 46 hours in this week.

My first set out today, my tag trailer was an actual route I can't believe it, it was an actual route 267 cases. I opened the trailer up and the load was shoved all the way up against the bulk head and there was nothing, but room lol!

I opened a customer's back door to bring my cart in and a ladder starts falling towards me. I throw my arm up and catch it. SAS beats eating it. I leave the cart outside, go inside and set the ladder in front of their cooler door and cussing a bit under my breath. I go back outside to get the cart and close the door. As soon as I grab the cart the door comes flying open and smacks me in the side. The manager thought he'd help out and open the door for me. I was so happy when this day was over. FFS.

My ladder fell on my head a couple days ago working in my freezer; knocked me on my ### and left some scabs! Needless to say that thing when flying!
