Lol aint that the truth.....if you do have to go to such lows, bring a bottle of your best with you.....those could be loooooooooong rides

 

It happened to me once. Only I wasn't fired, I quit, After that, I minimized everything I carry. The laptop doubles as a tv. I got my laptop bag, a Coleman cooler, and a large duffle bag. Anything that doesn't fit gets tossed into the dumpster. This policy has served me well over the years, especially after break downs or when they pull my truck away from me and make me pack everything in a rental car and send me to a new truck. (They are trading mine in in September, I'm dreading that, because this one is a good one.)

 

I once worked for a carrier that didn't have fuel cards and would write Comchecks for enough fuel to make dispatched loads . I always kept enough cash to buy fuel to get home .

 

What we have here folks is a truckstop lawyer. So no matter what is said it will be challenged. But what I don't understand is why didn't he just take the resignation? I'm sure the company is going to load up his DAC report and he won't be driving again for along time. Long after that unemployment runs out and I'm sure the company will fight that too. It sounds like his stubbornness got him fired and the company was just waiting for the right time. It all just boils down to not being smart on his part. Sorry but that's the way it looks.

If I and I say ME was in truly "survival" mode I would've eaten the dog and went inside to the drivers lounge in the heat and watched t.v. til my bus came. I would'nt have been hungry and me or the dog neither one would've had to worry about freezing. That would've been the most humane thing to do.

Yeah I figure the hits are coming.LOL.......

 

BS I've seen cops in NY, NJ and Cali give out tickets with the animal sitting right there. Know of a pet owner who tried to fight one in Cali on that bases and was told by the judge that it was there choice to bring the dog.

 

What it comes down to is YOU have to choose which law YOU want to break because YOU chose to bring the dog.
