Ok, I have an offer between Tyson Foods OTR and Maverick Glass Division. I am trying to choose the best of the two as I am not worried about hometime and more concerned about making as much money as possible. If any experienced guys with knowledge on both could help me make the right choice, that would great. I live in Atlanta and have 8 months experience with all endorsements and Twic card if the questions were to arise.

If you're in the hiring area, Transport National will probably hire you. There's a terminal in Chattanooga.
Drivers post the average weekly pay is $1500 and sometimes a little more or a little less.

If your looking to maximize income, of the two choices, maverick will most likely will be the higher of the two. The eastern division does go into Canada.
The only down side is once your glass haul at maverick, your going to have a hard time moving to other divisions.DuvalKid Thanks this. -
I'm curious as to why you say he will have a hard time moving from glass division in Maverick. I'd like to know because I am soon to start in Maverick Glass OTR.

Glass pays more and Tyson slaughterhouses smell like west memphis with a million flies going into your truck when you open your door as you walk through blood dealing with low life Tyson shippers that delay you for days in the middle of nowhere.

My friend used to work for Maverick and said nothing but good things about them. He was bringing home around $1400 a week.

TruckerRunner your post made my day. I regain sanity, hope and confidence. I was going to start trucking for Tyson Foods out of Springdale AR but they boot me out of orientation because of my MVR. For days i was depressed now i feel better after reading your post. LOLLast edited: May 5, 2019

I don't remember where it was, but I got directions from a shipper once that ended with make a right and turn in the first gate on the right. I did and they were loading live chickens, in cages on flatbeds.
I set the brakes and called them back, told the girl, I am here, but your crazy as a bedbug if you think you are loading chickens on me. lol She cracked up and said she had forgotten about that gate. lolD.Tibbitt and CorsairFanboy Thank this.
