Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

I hear the same old song and dance.
Well I came back to Crete. Never quit YET!
No more will I run hard anymore tho. Life is too short. And I’m coming home every 3 weeks. I’ll soon be treated like the red headed step child and I don’t care.
Another guy just died on People’s net. Allergic reaction from not getting hometime and lots of rest.
Not going to be me.
Hang in there. I wonder who quits first? Me or You.... lol
I’m ready to. I want too. Every day I’m talking about it. The road doesn’t excite me like it used to. I’m board of it. I’ve seen everything 4 times over. Maybe I’ll start taking the scenic route.... haha

 

And I’ll guarantee Crete reads this.
So since they do, I asked for a raise. I’m at .51 with 16 yrs experience with all my endorsements. I wanted .02 cents but nope. Wait for your yearly review they say. I’ve been running hard for 8 months with them and all I wanted was 2 cents.
Please Crete....

 

Tonn needs a new Mercedes. No raises this year for the Peons.

Drop and hook
Live loads for the 1st 2 hours
Waiting for this or that
Tire repairs
And the list goes on and on.

I guess we get free room and board tho. lol

I think .51 is cheap. I like Crete but .51 is still low. It’s 2019!

 

I like to come home every two weeks. Wont do that at Crete.

 

Your forgetting the mileage bonus every quarter plus the millions added into profit share every year

 

I don’t have 16 years but I have had my cdl since 2009 took 2 years off to recover from my major eye surgery been back since late April of last year I’m getting.45 if I never had my eye surgery I’d probably be .49 a mile or close

 

Crete is a pretty good company but there a lot different then when I was first starting with them miles are shorter and I feel I have to fight more to get 2500-3,000 a week

 

That’s how I feel these short runs fry me to no end a couple weeks ago I went off i had 5 shags in a row and told them I get another any time soon I’m heading to Indianapolis and handing my truck to the terminal and walk away

 

I don’t think they would loose sleep if me or you left to be honest a lot of people left Crete while I was recovering from my eye surgery I like driving but the garbage that comes with it is ridiculous no wonder why no one wants to drive semi truck anymore
