I run a 1,100 watt mirco on a 1,500 watt invertor
-
Wrap it in foil and throw it on the turbo an hour before you're wanting to eat.
That's what we did 25-30 yrs ago.
Turbo Rotisserie Chicken.Concorde Thanks this. -
Your inverter is protecting itself. You are burning it up from inside out.
Microwave is pretty greedy.
Stop buying crappy inverters. Start thinking in a range of 3000 to 4000 or even 5000 watts.
Then you can run any microwave made in the USA even the old 50's Atomic Ranges. -
My microwave dont have turbo vut i set it for hour with foil wraped around it. Came bacj and my truck burnt down. Thanks!!!jammer910Z Thanks this.

you look at it like this. its amps x volts=watts. if it has a ac compressor like a real fridge. then there are start up amps. if not then there are running amps. you always multiply the amps x 117volts. this will get you the watts the toy uses. look on the back of a toy you want to buy for the ul rating. so a 700 watt microwave has about 5.9 running amps. you will need at least 1500 watt inverter.

you can get the 50amp wire cut to length. its not the hard copper wire
-
by YOUR math i can't run a 1,100 watt mirco on a 1,500 watt invertor but I have been for over 3 years..Rideandrepair Thanks this.

whats your amps on the back of microwave
-
if you divide 1100 by 117 that equals 9.40 amps. so my math is correct and your 1500 inverter is correct to run a 1100 watt unit. truck drivers i swear. TA round table math you do.
