I have the XM app on my phone just so I can listen to my Dodger games. Always have their feed with the app.

The stuck me in the NE once and only offered me their local 100 mile runs. I told them no thanks and sat. They called and told me I was not going anywhere. I said ok by me.
An hour later I had a load to Baton Rouge.
And that was back in the day when you got 3 or 4 load offerings. They were all little bitty runs.

If you're burned out just put in for a couple extra days of home time. Seems like they are getting more lenient on that.

If you have a "legitimate" reason for personal time off I've gotten 10 to 14 days off and kept my truck. Over that time they want the truck turned in and when you come back you will most likely have to go recover one.

Over 4 to 6 weeks off, if not medical, they will want you to resign and reapply.

Check with your terminal cause it must be a discretion of terminal manager. It varies.

Yeah, know guys that wont drive in winter, some guys go visit family out of country. One guy told me he has an open job offer of selling used cars and goes and does that for a break. They just reapply and come back. Make sure your manager put down that he recommends rehiring

Moved there when I was 10. Many a game at Chavez Ravine listening to Vin Scully on my little transistor radio. I really enjoy Charlie Steiner and Rick Monday on the XM.
