Wally, sounds to me like your cooling system is getting pressurized or it wouldn't be lowing out unless it was overheating. that's not good if it's pressure from the cylenders. What motor do you have?
-
I have a 3406e. a guy over at 18wheels section told me something that made sence you have to bleed the system at the petcock on the top hose becouse the system holds a air pocket.so i will try that tomorrow..
-
had you recently drained the system?
-
I changed mine to unlimited radius, because my agent told me if I had a claim, and I was outside the 500 mile radius...I HAD NO INSURANCE COVERAGE..
Just trying to help fellas..Scarecrow03 Thanks this. -
not drained but changed heater hoses and just filled up the tank to full.guess the air in the hoses could have made a air pocket.and i do have a drain valve on the upper hose.lets just cross our fingers it's that simple..

I was told that they would pay if I was over, but it had to be close to the 500 mark, and would likely be dropped afterwords.
There is only one area in my 500 miles that would be over and that is Portland, its 540 miles. during most of my research on the load boards and with some brokers, most of the deliveries or pickups are south of Portland.
Everywhere else is either under 500 or close to 1000. The west is pretty spread out. The problem is I cant get unlimited without paying an arm and a leg because none of my 7 years OTR experience as an O/O is within the last 2 years. My policy is up in 6 months, so I will reevaluate then. If I am doing well I will increase to unlimited and spend the extra $$.
If I had the recent experience I would be paying almost half of what I am paying now and getting unlimited mileage! What a scam these insurance companies are running! -
I was told the same thing... they would pay it ONCE, then likely an investigation and dropping.
I don't know that insurance will get all that much cheaper. Wally said his insurance is over 2k more than mine out of FL, so location and experience are factors, but it won't be significantly less I don't think after a year.
I don't know who would opt for millions in insurance if it wasn't a legal requirement. So that said, I'm legal, that's all I really care. People only sue for a million because it happens to be what you're covered for. Insurance has only created a lawsuit environment. -

Folks, don't ignore the warning signs even if it seems to "go away" by the next truck stop. It didn't go anywhere, and it's coming back...soon.
I just lost 45 minutes and half my wardrobe in a rest stop bathroom..
...and the day had been going so well... -
BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Been there, done THAT!!!! You have no idea how many times I was squirming in the seat trying to drive through Houston or Dallas traffic, praying to GOD that I make it to the truck stop!
Meanwhile, people driving beside me were tempted to call hazmat because I had all the windows open trying to air out the stench of death that was trying to make it's way out of me......
PharmPhail Thanks this.
