That’s also what I’m wondering. I have a feeling this is going to be a fight. Now my boss wants me to draw a sketch of how it happened. Not happy with this at all. I wouldn’t hide it if I was at fault. But can’t help but feel like he thinks I am.

Here they do the requisite paper work onsite then you can get a report a couple days later. If the cop issued no citations and didn’t take witness statements there will be no report. I learned to try to make them do a report after that douche hit me last year when I was sitting still. The police said it was cut and dry but were to busy to issue a citation or do a report. The clown tried to come back and say it was my fault. He lost but it was still a hassle.

This isn’t uncommon, I just work for a small company and they require us to write a report and do a diagram regardless of fault.

  8. Always take tons of cell pics, back in the day 27 pic disposable cameras were limited.
Today we can burn up hundreds and pick the best shots.

Just a quick note. If you ever have someone stop in front of you and you bump them. Get out of truck when they are facing away and yell to them. To get them to turn. Whiplash patients can't turn their neck. So if you get a picture of them turning their head at the scene. It will benefit you and your insurance company later.( Dr. In the ER told me this fun fact)

Don’t be offended. He just wants that for insurance. He’s probably getting his CYA ready for when the other driver lies to his insurance company. He’s going to have to defend you (and him) to his insurance company and he needs ammo. You and your boss are in this together.

I have one in my plate now. Police report (not available on site) claimed “moderate damage, vehicle driven away”. However my adjuster called.....”I want to get your side of the story because this is s $30,000 loss”. I’m like “what did he do take a sledge Hammer to it when he got home?”

My driver didn’t take pics because it was raining......

If police were dispatched, it generated a case number. They should have written down driver info, insurance, vehicle info, direction of travel, conditions, damage. Get a written statement from both sides or at least ask what each side says.

Then go fill out the accident report, get it approved by supervisor, then put it on Reportbeam or whatever online report CA uses to be purchased or viewed online. Seems like the company could still get a report.
