Don’t be late. They charge a $500.00 late fee if your not on time. If its been raining the waiting lot is so muddy you can get stuck in it. Oh yeah, they are slow too.

After I drop in Four Oaks, head to Southport (south of Wilmington) for a load to West Chicago to deliver Thurs at 7am. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew. In Wytheville VA for the night at the J.

Got in and out in Austell before my 0730 appointment time, had a reload in Acworth, Ga. going to Ft. Mill, SC for this morning. Was told it was an open pick up between 1200-1500 in Acworth, checked in and the shipper informed me it was scheduled for 1500, no open window. By the time I got loaded I only had 2.5 hours left on my 14, and wasn’t about to fight my way through Atlanta evening rush. Just stayed at the shipper and rolled out at 0030 this morning. This load will get me home for my scheduled home time. I made enough on these two short runs to cover my fixed costs and fuel for the week, that’s all I was shooting for.

I will be off for the next seven days, flying down to Texas and seeing my daughter and our newest granddaughter. When I get home today I have to go and renew my CDL, not looking forward to dealing with the DMV, at least it’s once every five years.

Left the house yesterday. Bobtailed up to harrisonville mo for an mt. Walmart didnt have one so i ended up grabbing one off the drop yard then got my preloaded trl in spring hill ks and trying to unload that now in dallas then off to relogistics for a load to des moines ia.
I left in time. Sounds like its flooding around the house.

Got my delivery window extended to 11am in West Chicago which was a good thing. Left the Loves in Dayton Ohio at 2am. By the time I got to Indianapolis, a nasty storm set in and caused some tractor trailers to go off road and some turned on its side. I 65 headed north was closed while they towed those trucks. Stuck in that for two hours twenty minutes. Later would caused me to go over my 70 as I had a drop and hook at Pactiv in Romeoville IL after my Chicago load. Had to drop my empty off site and then go back for my loaded in a door. They had double parked trailers across from the doors and I had trouble get my tandem pins in so I could pull forward and turn out of there. But finally they did and finally got out there. That load is going to Lincoln Nebraska, then over to Fremont for a load going back to Four Oaks NC, then home for a heart doctor appointment on Wednesday. Doing a 34 at the Petro in Wilmington IL yardstick 240 before I roll on Sat morning. Awaiting on the safety call. Christ, you know it ain't easy! (Love that song!)
