That is true! I now understand how the whole airbrake system works. Never knew there were that that many relays and valves involved in!
I haven't felt this stupid in many many years!

Welcome to trucking, the only industry that makes you feel stupid everyday
spyder7723, kemosabi49 and buddyd157 Thank this. -
Look at it this way at least those other parts that could be wearing out are now replaced and you won't have to replace them next cause it's already done.

How about replacing the air dryer? Has that been looked at?.
They should be changed yearly. -

When you know you should change a part, while home, and don't. Then it causes a breakdown on the road. That's the time to feel stupid.
Good luck.spyder7723 and Curly88 Thank this. -

Don'tb feel to bad, it will not be the last time either. lol
I blew a tire coming out of Prudoe the last trip, it wrapped up the air bag and when I got out the bags were flat, so while pulling the tire off, I went ahead and pluged off the air bag and drove 450 miles home with it singled out and on 3 air bags. The next morning I called kenworth, they have to order it, called our only parts outlet and hey said maybe. I then pulled the air bag, and couldn't even see a scuff mark on it, it has not been that long since I changed all of them. I aired it up and no leak anywhere at all. Talk about feeling like a fool, and I have no clue why the bags were flat unless the tire was against the leveling valve, mad e another round and it did what it was suppose to do.Curly88 Thanks this.
