What would you like to know about Western Express. I drove for them in 2008 and saw their not so great side. Tho @Chinatown will find you better job possibilites. Western is only slightly better than Swift or Werner. Yet not by much. At least with Western you wont be getting some one yanking your 5th wheel lock while your on your ten to see you fail for a poor pretrip.

In 14 months w. Werner I never had anyone sabotage anything on my truck. It was a perfectly decent place to cut my milk-teeth.

W.E. has a school near our yard in Nashville. W.E. has always struck me as a 2nd chance or last chance sort of company. Their equipment is run down, from what I can see. I've never met a driver with experience that decided to go to WE.

If I was new and was flipping a coin about where to start working, I would first consider Jim Palmer Trucking, Millis Transfer, Roehl Transportation, Prime, Inc, Britton, Maverick, TMC and maybe 20 other companies before I settled on WE. "Your mileage may vary". Look at the company CSA score and compare their score with any of the companies I listed above. CSA is the govt's score of a company's inspection and out of service record. Just Google "western express CSA score". EVERY company wants drivers, if you have a clean record don't settle, be choosy.

 

And miss out on your sagacious advice, wisdom of all things trucking AND comedy gold? I don't think so!
