Best ever dudes ticketed going down hill were the two super truckers and Swift going down the big hill coming out of Oregon into the communist state.

This is back in the JBHUNT monster paper roll days.

Anyway, all 3 went by me like I was tied to a tree.

Bear had all 3 at the bottom.

Laughed for the next 1100 miles.

I don't know anyone who has ever beaten a speed limit ticket on Grapevine. I've seen fines reduced but never beaten.
If you didn't see the signs it was because you weren't paying enough attention. Hundreds of trucks go off that hill every day and the CHP are really tuned in to violators.
Let us know how you make out on the ticket and good luck to you.

Its actually marked in 14 places before you go over the edge, just past the rest area it drops to 45 before you even get to the last eit before you go down. It is one of the best marked 35 zones I have seen.
The best you get is a reduced, just look along side 5 or 99 or even in the middle of Tehachapi for the billboards of traffic ticket attorneys. There fairly serious as there is deaths every year on that hill. Good Luck

Don’t you know one of the golden rules when driving over the posted speed limit? Keep your ears open, looked at your surroundings(for speed cops) and keep your eyes on your mirrors as much as you looked at the front. This is one of “My” Golden rules I go by. If you get “pop”, oh well, tough..... suck it up and live with it. It is your own doing.

When they pull me over for speeding I always ask “do you know who my dad is?”

They think I’m an orphan and feel bad. They usually give me a puppy and let me go.

Twice I have really goofed and gotten a speeding ticket for it., well I have had a lot of speeding tickets but two were stupid, lol
Once I was working in east texas, but had to stay and pay a speeding ticket that I had forgot to send in, so was runninglate on a monday morning.. I watched my speed like a hawk, dead on 55, remember the 55 days. I pulled up to the four way stop in Sour Lake Tx, and looked in my mirror. The cop behind me had his lights on, I thought he had somewhere to go so pulled out of the way, wrong.
I ask what he wanted with me, as I sure as heck wasn't speeding. He explained to me that it just wasn't cool to run 55 through a school zone in those parts. lol
I ask where the school zone was and he said, you can still see the sign from here, and you could, probably an 8 x 20 flashing bill board. I had actually noticed the cop sitting in a parking lot when I drove by, turns out it was the school parking lot. lol
In my defense, the school was a mile or so out of the actual town.
Being as I was from out of town, I had to pay before I could leave, the cop told the judge to lower my fine, as I was the only one he had stopped in quite some time that wasn't a prick, lol
Another time was in Lufkin Tx. I had was pulled over for speeding and the cop ask if I didn't have a cb. then ask if I hadn't heard that he was there. I told him I had heard it and slowed down probably at least 10 times for a mile or two, then would pick up speed again. lol
That was the cheapest speeding ticket of my life, 12.50. I told him I would call ahead and let him know the next time I was coming through. lol

10 out of 10 times, when I seen them coming, I have backed out of it. They follow me for a distance, then they just drive on by. *knocks on wood*........
