Go taxachuetts! I work in the state and once lived there, thank goodness I came to my senses and moved into Connecticut. Athough, I some days think this state isn't any better.

Example of the two different test.

1)Ma pre-trip 14 pages, CT 1 page.
2) Ma range test, Serpentine, Parallel site side, and blind side. straight back, alley dock (which is what I call it) CT parallel,(blind side) straight back, alley dock. Now when you do the Paralles park with Ma it is so tight, that when you done you have about 12 inches to spare in front and back. In Ct when you done you might have 12 inches in the back, put 10ft in the front..
3) Ma road test, same as CT, but more driving involved...

Kid, I would take bamanations advice. If for no other reason, by the time our moronic governor is done increasing fees, you may not be able to afford a mass cdl.

Isn't that the truth, Living in NE (Especially Taxachusetts) isn't what it's all cut out for.

I love to see that guy on the masspike paying tolls. I bet he avoids them at all cost.

If you do not have a CDL yet, how do you know this for sure? I read what you wrote then researched it online and finally sent an email to the Mass Registry. I have an interest in this because I will be converting my CDL from NC. to MA. in a few months.
here is a copy of the reply I received when I asked if I needed any additional tests: Hello,

You are not subject to any retesting. A complete list of information
regarding the process of obtaining a out of state conversion is located
here: http://www.mass.gov/rmv/license/9oos.htm

Thank you for using mass.gov/rmv
Will

I have no driving experience and I have only been licensed for about 2 months and I made that clear in the email. I also made it clear that I have had a Mass license for my whole Army career and only converted to a NC to get my CDL. Again as you can see from the response it is not a problem
