Sometimes warranty isn't worth the hassle.
Had a buddy with a Honda issue, and they told him that they wouldn't work on it outside because he couldn't get the trailer inside the shop. They wanted him to remove the engine, bring it to them and they'd do the repair and give him the engine back. Replacing the part ourselves was a little less than pulling the motor job, nevermind reinstalling it.
I absolutely would change the fuel shut off valve myself instead of yanking my Honda.
Now that it's making noise, yup it's time to yank it. But not before now...
Gas in oil of pony motor on RGN? How is this happening?

I've seen those little Hondas take a #### kicking in other applications and still run. We had a guy fix some heavy cylinder scoring on a smaller Honda with like 400 grit emery cloth on a drill. Thing worked amazingly enough. Since you're relying on this engine I'd go get it repaired or replaced ASAP before that knock turns into one really loud bang.
Hegemeister Thanks this. -
It's a little random tap when hot at the lowest RPM. When the RPMs are at anything higher, it sounds good.
At some point I'll take it to one of the manufacturers certified trailer shops and let them pull the motor and get it repaired or replaced.
So much fun! -
After fuel valve replacement I ran the truck 400 miles, 24 hrs later cranked motor and not even a pop. Looks like new valve is working. Called trailer manufacturer about the knock in the motor, and they will replace it with a brand new one. Pheww.
Thanks to all for your help, especially Heavy Hammer. Really appreciated!Heavy Hammer and cke Thank this. -
Thanks for the update, and happy to hear they're gonna take care of you, good on them!
