Zephyr takes alot of elbow grease. California purple is alot easier. I just want to use the homemade method this time around.

I used to think the same thing 'til a veteran Trucker parked next to me one day. He did his pre trip yada yada then started cleaning up his truck. Polished the wheels, the cab and shined the tires. Thought to myself, dang, i should be doing that too. Feels good to show up on time. Feels alot better showing up polished out no doubt.

I joined just to reply to this thread to see if you guys can answer for me, did i pay 15 bucks for basically scented water and baking soda, heres the story,
A few weeks back i grab a bottle of aluminum polish at wallymart, i like trying different products and never seen white diamond before,
I also didnt realize it cost that much as i just grabbed it on our monthly shopping trip,
So at home before i tried it i google for info and reviews and it seems most people love it except a few who says it scratched their chrome odd since it says on the bottle for aluminum and chrome, ( i tested it on chrome, it did scrath it )
So i tried it on unwashed clean aluminum wheels since it said no pre wash needed, goes against what i was taught, anyway, first thing i noticed was it seemed very thin, even after shaking it well, i used just a clean red shop rag, the instructions was to the effect of a rub it in then wait a minute and wipe it off, i thought where have i read that before, ( it was here ) it does work well i would say about the same or slightly less results than using say mothers polish the same way,
The product set about a week and was separated in the bottle and sure looked like water, then i recalled what i read here,
Oh boy, so is white diamond polish great stuff or did i pay 15 bucks for basically scented water and baking soda, or i guess the answer could be both,
Thanks all
cheers

Got this truck new with 4000 mikes on it last year. We get a free wash every month at a truck wash few miles down the road. I havent never been there lol. So i probably wont be falling for this scam..

I made my very first batch of moonshine polish for only my personal use..Mine takes a very long time to dry..been looking at others mixes and one guy said to ad alcohol to make it dry faster but never said what kind of alcohol or how much to add..my mix made 6 20 oz bottles so can someone tell me what to add to make dry faster and how much to each bottle?

i am thinking stuff like rubbing alcohol will flash too quickly, i use windex ( store brand im cheap ) in my air brush when i shoot water based acrylics, it doesnt flash as quickly as alcohol,
that diamond polish takes a spell to dry it has an odd feel of perhaps water with a touch of glycerin, -
That’s way too many mikes assigned to one truck
They couldn’t throw in a Bill or Bob in the mix?
