With the loads he's hauling. I bet he is getting more like $500. for the 300 miles. And if he's on the road next week. I fear his truck will be put out of service. Leaking out like crazy. Tires almost racing slicks.
But never can tell, he may just not care to keep his truck up. But we all know those grain haulers make a killing.

Depends on the states you run, how fast your truck goes, and how long you can keep that door closed. My best time on e-logs, Denver to Albuquerque M&S, Albuquerque, NM to Love's in Pueblo, Colo., 781 miles 10 hrs 50 minutes. According to my GPS, it should take 11 hrs 18 minutes of drive time. But, since I know a few tricks up my sleeve, I logged in at 3 am, left the yard at 3:10, pulled into the customer at 9:50 am, 10 minutes later I was back on the road, parked at Love's bobtail about 2:30 pm. You figure out my secret, I never triggered a warning on the e-log.

Me too. The days of 1200 mile next day service are long gone.

There's no way I could work for a mega where they expect you to sit in the seat for 11 hours and crank out 600 miles a day. Nope... too tired for that. This ELD bull#### tires me out. I need to be able to take a nap midday.

I've been noticing lately that the times between pick up and delivery have been getting tighter. Some of the loads on the Convoy and Uber apps I've had to call them and say that the load can't be done legally in the time they have allowed, and they should call whoever is booking the load to adjust the times. I got into an argument with a broker a couple months ago that the times weren't possible, and she said that she didn't hear any complaints from the last 10 loads that did it in the same time frame. When I called her a liar, she hung up on me.
