Heaviest basic semi truck model in the world

The company that operates them is called Rotran.As mentioned they are used for transporting transformers. In my opinion a big waste , a Mercedes Titan at a way lower price would do just fine. These beasts have 1000hp cats and are the size of houses.

 

I know of one truck on the slope that has twin 8V92's init, I do not even know who built it, but they call it saul for some reason. lol
There are a lot of KW big heavy trucks up there.

I never heard of oshkosh trucks on the Dalton, could have been though. The big rollogons pull trains across the tundra, or anywhere they want to go though.

 

My brother in SAC taught me about a road train made up of segmented units between 12 foot road tires 4 foot wide grinding to and from our distant DEW Line early warning radars in Alaska regardless of the arctic conditions. Bunks, dorms, kitchens, payload etc. Do that for years. Never stopping, fuel is not a concern slosh a ocean into it and see you for a few weeks or a month.

 

That is the rollogons, they do not go for years, but do pull multiple trailers, ANYWHERE they want to go.
They lost a whole setup 4 or 5 years ago when it went through the ice. lol

The guys my son in law hunts with has 2 of them, they go 105 miles out in the boonies to their hunting grounds.
They all split the fuel, it runs around 3 grand for the whole trip. lol
