Yall dont get retention pay?

 

Get detention pay...if shipper/ reciever doesn't load/unload on time..but no pay for first 2hrs

 

But sitting empty you do get layover right?

 

Very, very rare to get layover pay ... only got it..one time in 8 years...but I don't sit empty that much...most days

 

Wow that's disappointing..so you have to babysit an empty tailer for a day or days for free..not cool...dont see how these companies get away with this kind of thing..

 

Yes ...but like I said..never layover much at all..if I do layover till next day..its because out of hrs

 

Oh ok I didnt see that..well that's good news.

 

But freight seems to have slowed up lately...for a lot of drivers...detention pay is $15hr..after first 2hrs...with a limit of $150..in a 24hr peroid

 

Freight has definitely slowed down. I got home 4 days early and was told that freight has slowed down. I have sat more in the past month than I have in the past 3 years.. I am taking a week off..hope it picks up when I get back

 

Freight has really slowed down hopefully it picks up here really soon disappointing I could be sitting at my house then out a truck stop here In Kansas probably only get 1600 miles at this rate that’s not acceptable I might as well step away from driving for awhile might go fishing in Michigan in July for 5-6 days
