OK so ... I had one too. I also had a bunch of other certs, HP UX, Sun, A+, CICU, Cisco certs, and so on.

BUT that didn't answer my question Rabbi.

I've got a knack for recognizing people's limitations and when I make choices about who to hire for specific jobs I'm always correct in my assessment. I don't need to be an engineer I simply need to recognize one.

This hobby just gets so frustrating, now I have to take my stock President Mckinley, stock BC980, and stock Cobra 29 to a "cb tech" who works out of a trailer, located in the back corner of a poorly lit old truck stop, to have the bias voltage adjusted, and various other componants replaced , because the manufacture' s engineers are morons, who' s previous job was probably with Best Buy Geek Squad. Oh well I guess if I spend $200.00 on each radio I should Tx and Rx 5 miles, no biggie thats what I work for.

I will let you all know how it works out after Will or Bill ( I foget) with the 3 day stubble, the alcoholic nose, and the shaking hands gets done with his butchery of 3 perfectly good radios, but according to some advice on this thread it needs to be done.

by the way it hurts a lot.
