Warranty

Is this a Brand new truck or used? Most used truck warranties aren't worth the papper they are written on. But YMMV

 

From what I’ve read, the best warranties are from the manufacturer. Third-party warranties are a hit-or-miss. New vehicles come with manufacturer warranty and may or may not offer manufacturer extended warranty.

That being said, there is also some talk about not getting extended warranty at all. The general plan is:

• Get the most reliable vehicle available.
• Stay on top of your vehicle maintenance.
• The money you were going to pay for the extended warranty, put it in a savings account.

Extended warranties often times will cost more than they tell you because it will be thrown into your finance loan. The way to avoid this is to pay the extended warranty cash, but not many people can afford to do that.
