PSI and ABS share lights, yet have different air hose runs?

    Doing a light check, one if the side marker lights for the ABS system was busted in by the driver.

    I understand there was an ABS error that needed to be fixed and the drivers bash in these lights to avoid be put out of service.

    My question was since when you check the lights, the PSI light goes on in the front then the ABS lights go on in the bsck. I needed to do a PSI box and tire inflation adjustment. And I wondered if doing the PSI box and tire adjustment would have to wait until the ABS issue was resolved.

    So since the wiring system rely on each other for the PSI and ABS system. Do the air hoses and valves work together between the PSI and the ABS system?

    My questions at work don't get direct and helpful answers, so I am doing research outside of work to find my own answers.

    Please don't insult me. I get enough abuse at work.

    You can get them serviced/repaired independently of each other. Good luck getting either of them fixed properly. Both of those systems are as screwy as Hogans goat. Those are by far the 2 most common reasons we have trailers in the shop. Most of our trlrs have had the ABS "fixed" dozens of times at multiple shops.

    Actually, you'll never get them fixed either. I know multiple companies, who have trailers of multiple manufacturers, and of multiple types (reefer, flatbed, etc) who have had multiple trailers in multiple times by multiple technicians to be repaired to no avail. Did I say "multiple" enough? That can not be stressed enough. These systems are junk, and can not be adequately repaired by ANY technician!
    And any driver who bashes out a light is an airhead. A bashed out light will, of course, attract unfavorable DOT attention as fast as an ABS light that is lit but isnt supposed to be, or any other light that is supposed to be lit, but isnt. We were mandated to utilize much of this equipment, and it hasnt worked right since its inception.
