I run 219 between 86 and 80 a fair bit. Good truck route. South of 80 there's a lot more small towns, tight turns, etc. Unless going to Somerset, I prefer 322 to 350 and 99 down to 76.

Can anyone make a suggestion on 86 vs 80? I have never been on either. Akron ohio to mass pike. I do know the ways to mass from scranton by heart once on 81. Today im light and have time but dont want to pay high tolls or drive on buckboard roads

Is snowshoe any worse than the gorge or black mountain on i40 in NC/TN? Drive that all the time

We got used to it. Some days it's really motivating.

There is only one snow shoe I know of, by another name "Milesburg" a 10 mile downgrade for you, into a sharp valley then a 4 mile pull out of it.

The main thing is to be at the speeds the signs tell you to be at. It's 10 #### miles all the way down. Nothing in terms of escape except maybe deer.

I hate it when my smaller roads pretend to be newer interstate roads now.

I wonder if PA has delusions of graundear trying to keep up with the TPike...

If you're referring to US15 north of Williamsport in the above post, it's probably the nicest road in PA right now. It's all four lane highway to NY, and it's a really nice ride. Much nicer than the two lane that used to go up through Steam Valley.
