It's not even close to being as bad as you guys make it sound. I'm a skinny country boy from Southwest Virginia and I've only been nervous once in the ten years I've been driving here in Atlanta. And I've been on almost every single street inside the Perimeter and a good bit of them outside it for fifty miles or so. Last week I drove the back ways from the Petro back to downtown at two in the morning in my own car with the windows down, doors unlocked and not a care in the world. This week I was up and down Fulton Industrial Boulevard at three in the morning, equally carefree. I happen to live just a couple of miles up Bouldercrest from the Pilot at Exit 51 and I've never felt threatened anywhere in that area--you're not in any danger from the guys hustling to sell you DVDs or help you back in to a parking space. The most immediate danger at any truck stop I've ever been to is the inexperienced truck driver trying to park in the space next to you. In fact, I haven't been to a truck stop anywhere in this country that I thought was dangerous, and least of all the big chains.
Keep your eyes open and your wits about you and you'll be fine. You guys should be worrying about all this stress, because that stuff can actually kill you.

if you do not think there is any danger in them hustlers then you are nuts.all of them no but some of them yes.
allnite Thanks this. -
I must add that MANY a tired and quite experienced driver finds backing a bit trying from time to time.I resemble that especially when the inexperienced driver has not done such a grand job while not tired.Or when that experienced and tired driver did not do so well.Or when there is a combination .Or all of the above.
I have had to make that circle at merkle and pull in the spot as opposed to backing it in.In fact I try to remember that i am tired when entering a truck stop and automatically drive it on in instead of attempting that difficult backing.
Besides, driving it in enables me to be a cb rambo better when i get up or to be a cb rambo upon retiring from being tired. -
What's the 20 on the stress?
j/k.
