My time out really depends on my needs. I have stayed out as little as 2 weeks to as long as 5 weeks. Sometimes I get back a couple of days early so I will do a couple of short runs (200 - 300 miles).

Check out threads by oldnewbiegonnabe. I believe he went through that facility recently and should be able to answer questions.

  7. Dude why do you think you have to down Swift? Oh I see you must have tried to screw them over:biggrin_25511: then you got caught. It is not Swift as a company it was you! I drive for them after 10 years and he is not making that up. Swift has not done me wrong but i have had some people afilliated with them try but I do not take any crap from anybody especially drivers like you so when you grow up and learn to be a professional or a grown adult then try another company and see if you can screw them.:biggrin_25522:

  8. Just stay open minded and most important of all Listen and learnwhat they are teaching you. If you try toknow it all you will not make it:biggrin_25525:

I went to the Millington Acadamy two years ago. I drove for Swift for a little over a year. 9 months as a company driver and 4 months as a owner operater. (if you can call it that.) My advice is this, go to the school, drive for them at least one year keep a positive attitude DO NOT LEASE PURCHASE A TRUCK, the price is so rediculous I literally had to drive my but off just to make the fuel, insurance and truck payments EVERY WEEK. Being a company driver I had GREAT insurance and had a lot of fun making good money (after a couple raises.) I mean you don't start off high pay cause you gotta learn first. I am actually thinking I might try to go back as a company driver.
