    Cold water on hot metal can cause cracks, especially exhaust manifolds, best to let cool.

    When I run the lower 48 and used truck washes, I had the engine washed pretty frequently,it was at the very least warm. I never worried about it, but asked them to not hose down the turbo.
    I did have a driver have the ecm fail just a few miles after getting the engine washed, then wrecker driver I sent told me he frequently pulled them right out of the bay at that particular truck wash, true or not, coincedence or not, I do't know, but I never used that place again either. lol
