Hey Guys!
I have recently purchased a international prostar with a cummins isx. And recently i have been seeing that i have had to add like 1-2 quarts every 2000 miles or so. But before i drove the same type of truck for my company and never paid any attention. But i never used to add that many times in my company truck. I have spoken to a lot of people and they say its normal during summer and hilly areas to add 1 quart every 750 miles. But i just wanted some more advice. Any answer would help.
Thanks

Never looked at the oil level when you drove a company truck? Did you never bother to look at tire pressures or brakes either?
You didnt even bother to tell us how many miles and hours are on your engine.spyder7723 and Intothesunset Thank this. -

That’s a lot of oil.
My 2016 D13 with 430k Miles requires no additional oil between oil changes. 20k mile interval.
But then again I’ve heard Cummins is known to consume more oil than Volvo enginesQuietStorm Thanks this. -
If you're adding three or four gallons of oil between changes, unless there's a serious oil leak someplace, then you are ready for an in frame. It is not normal for a broken in motor to go through oil like that.
Tombstone69 Thanks this.
