Here in Ga. a couple of months ago they were out of money. I wonder if they got some stimulation yet.

http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/info-STIMULUS0109.htmlRed Fox Thanks this. -
I received similar info from the state about C1. Full tuition is $5000 or so but they were only going to charge #$3600 to the state. I'm going to a better school than C1 and it's not costing much more than what C1 offered the state.
Funny how that works... -
I was approved for $5000, but the school is only $3500 so that is all the gov't would approve me for. I was told about this program the day I went down there to put down a down payment! The people at the school told me about it. Very nice people.
Been laid off for 5 months and was about to drop $3500 on a credit card.......I was more than happy when I found out about this program....a life saver. -
I don't have a degreee, but CA paid the whole tution for me, $4900 for a 6 week, 240 hr course

hmmmm, i guess the amounts must differ between states... i have been told that i will get all of my tuition paid for on an associates degree in criminal justice, as well as any training i may need afterwards to make myself hireable ( training academy).... i will have to meet with my case worker every week to make sure i am succeeding in my classes. and the state will get a copy of all semester grades...

All I can hope at this time is that they will cover the cost for me. I seem to be passed over for some jobs I am basically qualified for because I don't have a specific experience thay want. From an employers point of view, I can understand especially during these times when they can pick and choose. Maybe if I drive for a year I can get into a dispatcher or DM position. It would be nice to know what a driver is experiencing before applying to a DM position.
One thing is certain, if I don't get something going it won't be long before the mortgage company gets cranky. -

WIA must be different for each state. Here in KY they will pay for up to $8500 in anything that will take 2 years or less to complete. I have been to three meetings now and heard a few people with just a couple of years left for a bachelor degree that are being helped. I am personally looking into CDL but have been told that they are only allowed to have 15 CDL students (locally) per scholl year (July 1st - June 30th) so I will have to wait until then which is just 2 more months or so.
