I'm in an '05 International with one coax feeding both the am/fm radio & the CB. It all goes to a single 45" tall stick antenna on the driver's side mirror mount. It's probably all stock with the semi. Does anyone know if this antenna can be tuned? If it's not worth it I was thinking maybe a Wilson 4' FGT or a 4 1/2' K40 stick as a replacement. Is one antenna gonna work for both radios? I have 15" across the top of the mirror mount, so I guess I could probly mount an antenna up there for just the CB only. But that would mean having to have someone run some coax for me as I've never done it, and I really don't want to spend a lot of $ on someone elses' truck. Did International include something in this set-up to allow good performance for both radios with just one coax? Firestik sells the Matchmaker Cb To AM/FM Antenna Splitter. Anyone ever have any luck with it?

I can't see how a single coax could be any good. I always have just run my own coax and antennae on whatever I was driving. Just tuck the coax away out of sight. If you switch trucks it only takes a few minutes to take it all down and put it back up in the new truck. Plus I'm sure you'll get better performance out of your radio equipment.

Not sure what you mean by 'stay clear of the "advertising".

If I have to do this then that would be fine. I suppose I could have the 2nd attena mounted next to the stock antenna and have them mounted on the same mirror bracket. A 45" stick sitting next to say a Wilson 2000 some 13" - 14" away--do you think that would look ok? Can't say that I've ever seen such a set-up--but then again I can't say that I ever really paid that much attention. But, hey, if it works--right? I've read where you really don't want a CB antenna on the passenger's mirror mount on a condo because when you are hollerin' at oncoming drivers once they pass you your air-foil atop your cab blocks your signal. Also, how you supposed to get your coax from inside to outside your cab on a quick set-up like you just mentioned?

Great! But can you tell me what this set-up looks like? For instance, how do you get the coax from inside to outside the cab w.o. drilling holes, or w.o. slamming it & damaging it between the door & its jamb, or placing it between the top of the window & its door surround?
