Bigdad7 you are correct that this turbochargers come from China. Didn't mention before but i searched internet all night and couldn't find any better option for me as to take the China turbos. My local CAT won't take my destroyed turbo as a core so I got to pay 4900$ for OEM one. If you know any source where I can get a low pressure turbo for 04 CAT BXS ACCERT share with me. Greatly appreciate if you know something.

I’d call Andre at turbo exchange and see what he says. He’ll tell you what you need and give you a fair price.
rollin coal, Diesel Dave and Leopard Thank this. -
What happens if the Chinese turbos go out? Do you have anyone local to work on them under warranty or do you have to ship them back to the seller?
Leopard and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
The thing that sticks out in my mind is, if a mechanic took it apart to replace hoses, how could he miss seeing that damage? That's not the sort of damage that even a moron with no experience whatsoever could miss.Anyone with any brains would have stopped right there, and pointed it out, before doing one more thing, just for the sake of liability. I take it the hose replaced is the blue one.
Leopard Thanks this. -
Yes.. it's the blue hose. Turbo was working no problem and not damaged when the truck got in the shop. They dropped a washer or something and destroyed the blades.Tombstone69 Thanks this.

Good question. Let's not forget that Chinese turbocharger didn't require a core. So from this point I still have the old ones which I will have them rebuild later after I settle the legal part with the shop who destroyed the turbo. For now I will have this Chinese ones. I just have to get back on the road sooner the better.REO6205 Thanks this.

kinda sounds like you told the mechanic how to do the job without messing with the turbos. So as an owner operator, why do you let shop apes work on your livelihood if you know how to do the repairs? I dont let apes work on my truck for this reason alone. Those twins need to come off anyway for a single. Now you are left with downtime and having to fight over whos at fault. Was it really worth it for that one day of r&r so you dont have to work on truck?

Now your screwed. YOU took it apart to fix. This guy AND his mechanic and his wife are all gonna say that it was making noise when it came in here.
You dont have an opinion from a reputable dealer explaining the damage....
You are gonna repair it with Chinese parts....
Any case you had against the guy just became he said, she said. You just ate a $8k repair bill (cause you're gonna be changing the air to air next) by not taking it to the cat dealer.Cam Roberts Thanks this.
