Very important to get down perfectly:
“This engine is like uh, totally awesome dude!”

Not sure where you're at in Cali, I took mine at the Commercial DMV in Fontana, CA and we used a 53ft trailer there with no issues. I went to Roadmaster Drivers School and they didn't give us any script. They just said "here is a list of every part you need to call out and here's where they are at." & they showed us a Z pattern on the engine, which made life super easy. Just don't jump around, go from top to bottom in a pattern that is easy for you to remember. You have a huge advantage on majority of others, you have a truck at home you can study on the pre-trip on. Take advantage of that. I had to use my own personal car to study for it.

It's only as hard as you make it out to be. Just breathe and act as if YOU are the one teaching it to the instructor. It makes life so much easier that way.

Schools that take their students to the same DMV offices to test over long periods of time get to know what the people giving the tests like and don't like to hear. I would heed their advice and do it their way if you plan on becoming a licensed driver.
