Did a search on this forum for the company and came up with 1 hit. bad but only being 1 that may be a good thing.
Anybody have any experience with this company? how many miles did you actually get? how often do you sit? Dispatching any good?
I could go on with the questions, so basically just tell me anything you may know about them.

You must be an owner op! l.o.l. Yeah I used to work there in the office.
Let me just say when I did work there, they treated the drivers very well!
It's like a family company and let me say they let the drivers win on everything, but if you tick the owner off, umm let me just say hang on to your behind. But over all he is a pretty good guy.
Their orientation class was like 5 a week, maybe sometimes more!
That was about 4 years ago so take my info for what it is worth, but I know Andy is still there and he is a nice fun guy, but again don't tick him off and if you do, he cools down and he is fine!
GOOD LUCK, LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES

Please, whatever you do do not, REPEAT, Do Not go to work for perkins
You will not make any money at all, Trust me i know.
My last 3 wks earnings 546.00, 224.00, and 540.00 and next wk maybe even less, as an o/o that's ridiculous. I'm waiting for MATS in march to find me a better deal, one that keeps it's promises. -
A majority of their freight is in the east coast. They do a lot of NYC and New England. IF you want to run west and stay out less than 3 weeks you will not make any money with them. The east coast is not my cup of tea. It might work out good for you if you live near New Jersey.

Perkins will make you lose everything you have worked for in your life!!!

Wow; what can I say here...I am about to go join Perkins Specialized...I don't usually pay much attention to the complaints/whiners on here...like anything, you pretty much just have to take a chance and find out for yourself if it works for you or not.
Anyway, like I said...I am about to go to Perkins and lease/purchase a truck with them. I am heading there for May 03, 2009. I will get back on here and post to let other drivers know what this experience is like; at least from my perspective. -
Then don't come back complaining and whining when you find out they were right . There have been many posts on here warning against lease purchases and nothing positive about it . We look forward to your posts .Big Duker Thanks this.
