Virginia expands search for suspects who shot three trucks

During the early morning hours one day this past week, a car with darkened headlights sped southbound down Interstate 77, shooting and hitting three different trucks near the North Carolina border.

None of the drivers were injured by the shooting, but police have new information they hope will bring the shooter to justice.

Virginia State Police are expanding their search for suspects and information about the shooting, and have a picture of a suspect and a car.

The shooting occurred at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, between the 7-mile and 2-mile post on I-77 in Carroll County, VA. An early 1990s model gold or brown sedan believed to be either a Chrysler or Plymouth Acclaim was seen near the area around the time of the shootings, state police said. Between two and three people were believed to have been in the sedan.

Virginia police seek man for questioning

The man pictured is believed to be one of the occupants of a car spotted in the vicinity of the three Virginia shootings. Police are seeking the man for questioning.

The Virginia State Police are expanding their search for leads in a series of shootings along Interstate 77 in southwest Virginia last week.

Around 2 a.m. on April 16, gunfire hit three tractor-trailers traveling southbound on I-77 at mile marker 7 and mile marker 2 in Carroll County, Va., near the North Carolina border. No injuries were reported, and the drivers said the suspects vehicle was traveling at a high speed with its headlights off when the shootings occurred.

Gee, he looks like a fine upstanding gang member... with his one sleeve rolled up. Friggin punk-### #####.

Cops should just be allowed to shoot those punks on sight--no questions asked. You wear gang signs--you die--simple as that.
