So wondering if y'all think this is safe for another 500 miles.
Will be getting to company shop after that to get alignment checked and steers replaced. This is outside passenger and the inside driver has similar but not as severe wear. IMG_20190620_141640334.jpg

Your alignment is off. Your more than likely will see the steel very soon looking at the condition of the tire. I wouldn't won't a steer blowing out & neither do you. I would get that taken care of. All the best to you.

Will it last.... probably if you can run light on the steer axle. I wouldn't recommend it tho because we all know the dangers of a steer tire blowing out. Be safe.

I've had one steer tire go, I hit something punctured tire immediately, but it didn't explode just leaked all the air out quickly. It didn't even ruin the wheel.

It didn't get like that overnight. Extra chance of a blowout... About zero. If it's a company truck do it now.

Your alignment is just whacked. You gotta be able to feel that.

    I've seen worse.

As mentioned in my post yesi know my alignment it out, the question was simple ... Do you think I could make it 500 miles to the company shop to avoid having to get it fixed on the road....

Well so far 250 miles down and around 150 to go (was rounding up before for simplicity). Wear is the same still no belt showing and hasn't much effected the inner tread still.

Reason for allowing the tire to begin showing signs of misalignment is as we all know mechanics think drivers don't know anything and will just tell you... It's supposed to pull to the right.... Well they can't argue with the tires to avoid checking alignment and fixing it so yes I've known alignment was out awhile...

In the end I went by the advice of my friend with 32 years OTR (he retired last year... Now delivers parts for AutoZone in a 4 wheeler part time).

Run it check it every 50 miles and leave some pedal incase she goes.

Edit: passed DOT walk around (as the officer called it... Level 2) a couple days ago
