Well i went to orientation last week and left on the second day of orientation because of how it seams like they push me into going with the Per Diem witch i did not carry about. If you take the Per Diem route you will receive a $1000 sign on bonus, If not all you will get is $100 sign on
Per Diem route you will get 6 paid holiday (if not you will not get a paid holiday at all )
Per Diem start pay with 5 years 32 cents
Start pay non per diem with 5 years is 38 cents
Per Diem pay you will get one week pad Vacation after 6mo. and one more at the end of one year.
Non Per Diem you just get one week after one year.
Now im not saying that Millis is a bad place to work every thing that i here about them is good i just don't thank it is right with the way they do with the non Per Diem and straight pay. I would have loved to have work for them.

ok so how much per mile were they going to pay you for your per diem...So you get taxed on 32 per mile and your per diem is not taxed...I will agree you made a big mistake leaving..you should have took the perdiem...

HMMMM, the companies always say how beneficial it is for the DRIVER to take per-diem. this is a PERFECT example of how benefical it is to the COMPANY for YOU to take a hit on your AGI, SS, unemployment taxes ETC.
the NON-benefit of per-diem has been pointed out in NUMEROUS threads.
THAT BEING SAID... in this economy.... maybe it WAS a mistake to walk out??? only YOU know the answer to THAT Tbird. GOOD LUCK driver, hope you find something more to your liking

You would get tax on 22 cents and 10 cents would be your Per Diem.

That does suck, You should get the 32 taxed and then take your Per Diem when you do your taxes. That is starting though

You should have taken the non per diem at 38 cents and just taken your per diem at the end of the year on your own by keeping track of how many days you gone during the year. I am on straight pay and that is what I do
