That's correct. even better if you can get someone to fax that to you as after you quit you won't have access to their qcom.

The truckers report does not tolerate insulting members. Please stay on the topic of the thread or do not post at all. Thanks, The Staff

You can file a claim with the Department of Labor and Industry if you are owed wages. Though labor laws for OTR are covered by the Motor Carrier Act. They would still have to show that the deduction was justified.

My guess is they just humped another driver to the truck and loaded back to see if their was damages to the rig that they could charge you for.

When I worked rail for USX we had OTR drivers cleaning out there trucks in are small yard. I told them USX would charge them $500 to reseat the truck and take it back to SLC. But most did not care. They just wanted to be done with it. Luckily I was able to steer a few ,after they calmed down, on how to turn in the truck to protect their future in the industry.

You can't drop a truck in a yard without it being checked out and signed for. Even if it is the yard they want you to take it to. And not think that some of these outfits will not take advantage of the situation. Know what the company procedure is and then do it. If you do it that way and they screw you then you got a beef. When you sign up with a company, you sign up for the bull you go through when you want to leave that company.

Do it the right way and it won't cost you anything to leave.

Navajo has had a reputation like that since the 70's. Cheap pay and crappy management. Amazing they are still in business with drivers waiting to work for them.

no offense navajo but I have a 21yo daughtor with more maturity then you when you are a company driver, driveing someone elses property and they are paying all the bills it would be the professional thing to do is bring the truck where they want it. As far as them calling the DOT and haveing them forceably removeing you from the truck it does not happen. As far as being home everynight and seeing your wife good thing you became a local driver you do not have what it takes to be an OTR driver

Well; four times now I have seen a najavo stop on the road, eyeball the truck entrance sign at work... think it over... then proceed up to the next entrance for employees (cars) and try to negotiate the turn. Only to have security make them back out on the road, flip and come back to the "TRUCK" entrance. Then when I went through have security tell me... stupid truck driver cussed me out...... Beginning to wander just how smart some of them are. Or could it possibly be the same driver each time?:biggrin_2556:

Hi everyone, I worked for DSCO for a bit, they are a little brother company of Navajo's. They sucked, to say the least! They'd always try to get me to run illegally, just to get the load there in time. The funny thing is, I never once was late on a load, running legally! Plus, my dispatcher was a raving azzhole. Almost impossible to get along with. Once, he told me that I didn't know how to do my log recap, and that I had more hours left on my 70 than I knew I had. He added them up wrong. I called Navajo's log book czar, explained the whole situation, and HE agreed with me, and gave my dispatcher hell! Funny thing is, my dispatcher went on and on about how stupid I was for an experienced driver, for several days on the qualcomm.

Ironic that I was right all along. The miles were good, but the attitude of DSCO and Navajo really sucked. The Navajo terminal in Phoenix was WAY better to deal with than the Denver terminal, as the terminal manager in Phoenix had good old fashioned common sense. Plus he had a personality that wasn't psycho.

Navajo is nothin but a bunch of thieves. They expected me to leave my ill daughter who was in the hospital just to run their truck. My daughter was in icu at that. And when my fiance asked if there was a message from my dispather at the time he hung up on her. They have no respect for any of their drivers. I offered to take the truck to their secured location down the road from my house they refused and had a tow truck hookin up to it. Now after 4 months they r tryin to tack me with a repair bill that is over 7 months old. They haven't put the srcews to me cause i already had another job. :biggrin_25522:
