Time and money are two things Americans can't afford to waste. So it's not surprising (though slightly disappointing) that the drive-thru is considered one of the greatest inventions of all time. There's even a study to prove it. In 2005 and 2006, researchers asked 600 adults and teens why they eat so much fast food. Three of the top four responses? It's quick, easy, and affordable. Taste came in third, with only 69 percent of respondents listing flavor as a factor in their fast-food love.

The worst depends on who makes it . Some fast food employees aren't worth half their low wage . I got a BLT sub with no extras at Subway once and when I got to the truck all it had on it was bacon !
I went back in and told them I asked for a BLT , not a B !

That is why so many Americans are overweight. It is cheaper to get a fast food meal than is to try to eat healthy sometimes. Some drive in places offer you a whole meal for about 3 dollars. The last time I went to Wallyworld a head of lettuce was over 3 dollars. For a lot of people, the fast food wins.

Carl's Jr is the worst I've had lately. Stopped at one in Denver in Jan.. Ordered grilled chicken to be healthy. Got on road and took a bite and it was still raw in the middle. Normally I would have pitched it, but I had time so went back and raised Cain. They didn't seem to be too concerned.
