ok. heres the deal, my uncles friend owns a large farm in minesota. my cousin drives a daycab for him hauling corn from the farm to the river where it ships on a boat to who knows where(about 5-6 miles away). my cousin is the only driver hauling corn for the farm. the farmer has an empty truck and is offering it to me. he said he would pay for me to go to school to get a cdl. he also said that he has enough corn to haul whenever i want to drive so hours are whenever fits my schedule. he says he will pay me $20 dollars an hour. how does this sound? any info will be so greatful. thanks.

And you would not need a cdl for this. A simple F endorsement would suffice. This is just a written exam on air brakes.

Heck, he can just pay the 30 some bucks for a seasonal farm permit. To heck with ANY actual exam/test.... Have to love this state(MN).

I agree, I would jump on it and the cdl is something you can keep for ever.
But, you would not need a cdl for this gig but JUMP ON IT!

If you want to drive a truck you will not find a better deal anywhere. If you hate trucks then you might end up hating them even more. However, If you like money that's a good deal. On all these boards you have by far come up with the best opportunity.
