Ok so she walked into the side of his truck and he's being cited for it, does that seem alittle odd?
-
And HE'S at fault???? Gimme a break -- the woman clearly wasn't paying attention to where she was walking!
-
This really Blows for the driver!! She walked into the side of his truck and he gets done for not yielding to a pedestrian.

Women with cell phones, attached to their heads, and involed with any sort of transportation, be it walking or driving etc. should be banned, or heavily fined or incarcerated.
Once again it is proven, women with cell phones attached to one side of their heads, all brains and common sense seems to dribble out the opposite side of their head!!! -
Wait a minute, pal. This isn't strictly a women's condition, ya' know...
-
Careful! We're not all that bad.
But it seems that anytime there's a wreck or anything involving a truck, the driver is AUTOMATICALLY deemed at fault even though he or she may not be. -
another example of government intervention with darwinism...... why do the governments of north america keep creating new laws to keep stupid people alive even longer? this may sound harsh, but that is how i feel.. really !!!! ,and you can be rest assured that the womans family will also file a lawsuit against the trucking company for wrongful death... this is just pathetic.

Seems to me, the trucker could have been at fault here.
If the lady was using the cross walk, it would be safe to assume the truck was making a turn on the red light which may not have been legal. Also, she may have been entering the crosswalk when he started the turn. -
you are right, he could have. unfortunately, there is not enough information in that article to draw that conclusion. the only thing the article states is that the truck was making a right turn, the woman walked into the "side" of the truck, fell down, and was run over by the rear wheels. btw, she was also distracted due to talking on a mobile telephone... but i can understand your point of view...
