Find an open scale, go around back and park. "Mr DOT, I am having a problem with my company. This truck is a POS and they wont fix it. I dont want to drive it, but they wont do anything about it."

And DOT will dig in to fight. He will shut your truck down and they will have to either tow it or repair it on site. Problem solved. And when your company asks, just tell them random DOT.

Of course, none of this can help you now. Doesnt seem like there will be a next time for you. So, this is for the next driver being forced to do something that he doesnt want to do: ASK ANOTHER DRIVER FIRST!!!!

He didn't say anything wrong to you and only gave you a way to help. You are sure fast to jump at advice and I do believe it's a defense for not knowing what to do. You'd be much better off to keep your ears open and your trap shut, then you could start to learn. Nobody is going to ruin your career except you.

With a felony on your record, and no one willing to hire you, you should have dealt with it, and tried to make the best of it.. Now with a ding on your DAC, your next career might be a Walmart greeter, or a bigger flipper..

I did that with my last employer. My truck needed tires and he would not put them on. I had a blow out in Ohio and I thought finally new tires but he had me put on a used tire. He kept saying when you get by the shop I have ordered new tires and they should be here blah blah. So the next scale, outside Youngstown I pulled around back and told them the story. New tires. Worked like a charm.
