What are some of your tips for picking the right fuel line when the fuel island is 3 deep?
I usually avoid fed ex at all costs, even if the sob is pulling out and freeing up the island, just know that its a trap and he will be doing his 30 minute break in front of u . every.frickin.time.
Getting behind the rv/camper is hit or miss. Sometimes they take longer inside after pulling up , i give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe they dont understand how the fuel island works..
Sometimes i try to find the trucks that have no fuel nozzles inside their tanks , sometime it works and sometime the driver just went inside to pay for fuel and now i wait .
U guys got any ideas on this, ? Some of us is given certain fueling locations and have to deal with it we cant judt go down the street to another stop

Avoid a Loves. Period. They will be lined out the parking lot trying to get into the first 3 fuel bays. Stupid, right? But fatboys need something to brag about and post on facebook and all the fatboys know the bragging rights that come with getting in the front fuel bays and or one of those coveted fatboy parking spots at a Loves. So, if you're not 100lb's overweight or dressed like an overgrown teenager, fuel somewhere else.
Avoid fueling in the middle of your drive day. I like fueling at the beginning of the day, because at the end of the day, parking is a premium.
Avoid trashy truckstops. Trash attracts other trash. Is the parking lot nasty? Is there garbage all over the fuel island and the cans overflowing with garbage? That's a sign of bad management. That also means that everyone that went inside is going to be slowed by the slow staff on the inside of the truck stop. You can't always blame the drivers for being slow. Some times, Chemequa will be having a bad weave day.
Fuel and the fuel bays farthest from the C-store. Look for the driver with pride in that ride, and his appearance. More times than not, he lives by a code of honor and will be more diligent in fueling and moving.Lepton1, FlaSwampRat, Intothesunset and 7 others Thank this. -

Don’t park behind the wide load, I alway back out, and you think you got problems. If I’m empty and the truck in front of me takes his 30 at the pump he gets a free padlock. Gotta make sure his load is secure.

I always pull in behind someone who's getting fuel already. A lot of drivers are dicks, but almost no one will park if they see you and they know you see them.
And yes, for some odd reason, FedEx thinks its cool to park in the fuel island.Lepton1, tscottme, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.
