    Howdy,

    Just graduated driving school, have class A, doubles/triples and tankers, 45 years old and can't find a job! Even Swift turned me down! Any advice?

    I have applied to all of the big companies and keep hearing the same thing, no students or I am just one of 400 applicants for one position. It's to bad too, I am a great driver and have a perfect driving record, former fire fighter, good shape, just can't seem to catch a break.

    Hey 73roadrunner,

    Just curious, what school did you go to? And what did it cost?

    Did you not find any truck driving schools in your area that were pre-hiring (job placement/securing an entry-level job)?

    Have you tried System Transport/TWT out of Spokane? Not sure what their hiring practices are now, but they used to take students. Heh, I used to to train them.

    I went to Trans Union out of Tacoma, WA. They have companies that recruit there but I have found that the economy is so bad that most are not hiring students at this time out of my area or if they are then there are so many applicants that to land a job is like winning the lottery.
