I'm thinking of signing up with Central for their lease program

I live in Southern Ca close to their Riverside school and was wondering if this is a good idea? My Wife and I already have income coming in so I'd be good with only making $2500 a month or so (more would be nice tho but don't need it). Would it be worth going the o/o route with them out of Ca? If so what are their routes... NV, AZ?

Also when you are an o/o can you give yourself 2-3 days off every week or so?

Sorry if these are dumb questions.... Central and Watkins are on my short list.

Well here I am in lovely Boling Brook, Il. IDOT is pulling out all the stops and are pulling trucks over left and right and doing lvl 2 inspections. Got an OOS from them for log violations. This is my 4th inspection and the 1st time something has been said about the way I log. All that stuff I've been putting on line 1 while at shippers and rcvrs, should have been on line 4. Sigh. Neither company nor trainer taught it to me that way. No ticket was given at least and lesson has been well learned. Presently in sleeper so that I will have no more problems. Awkard having the laptop across the legs instead of on steering wheel tho.

What were some of the items put on line 1 that they found?

This is an edited copy of what they wrote, deleting dates, and location.

False report of drivers record of duty status. On....from....to.... driver listed time as off duty in ...... while waiting for loading.

    Thats it.

So, when you were waiting for a load, you recorded it in line 1. Did you show it as a break or note it as waiting for load?

The reason I ask, is you are not alone here in doing this. I am just curious how they found it.

Just sent you a pm on what happened. All my logs show me on L1 for loading and unloading since that is the way I was taught. L4 for fueling, inspections, PTI, etc.

I have usually logged about 15 minutes for loading and unloading. It is for the time I actually do anything for the load. Sitting around is just what it is, off duty.

    ustatruck Thanks this.
