Hi GBRob, Central run 48 states.

We lease and if we took 2 or 3 days of every week or so we would be in the HOLE.

I think you have to be a company driver for three months before you can lease and as a company driver you get one day of for every seven days out.

Lol USA we don't feel left out!!

Your right a lot has changed!!

I have confidence you will do well.........Central is big on macro's that you have to do everyday, now thats easy I can do all the Macro's when I am out with JJ

First week or so out with a trainer you keep Paper logs and the E-Logs, the E-Logs are easy and actually do save a little time!

Are you taking a Laptop out with you so you can let us know how its going?????

yes have my lap top going too , just got it a few weeks ago just for this new adventure , paper logs are no problem we do those now with the motor coach company , but the hours of service is different from trucks . they did'nt have e-logs back when i drove before , and they did'nt have the macro system they have now either , we had to do everything by either land line phone or go to the terminal for th.e next load:biggrin_2552:

We use the QC for all messages hardly ever call the company unless they rip ya pay, try make ya pay for something they should be paying for and if we don't get our next load soon enough JJ calls and asks.

They send directions on the QC, Fuel routing, loads and all sorts of safety and weather messages.

Now with a laptop you can check your Pay on Tuesdays and if they have missed something you can call them on Wednesday morning and they will add it to your pay. Your Family can log on if they have your details and see where you are at any given time.

You can also mapquest your dead head miles to manage your time better because the dead head miles to pick up a load arent in your load info.

Ok had to chime in on a few posts I read about the line for while at shipper Q.1 does dot realy expect us to all burn every second we have while we are sleeping at a shipper waiting to get loaded. Q.2 if on elog how can they tell what you were realy doing sorry for the odd questions but seems a bit rediculous that they would do this

JJ logs on line 4 for no more then 10 minutes on E-logs and Paperlogs it is 15 minutes and then he goes to line 1 until he is ready to go. (At shipper and Receiver) Correct me if im Wrong Chrome.

What a red letter day this is for me!!! Not only an OOS BUT got what you guys and gals of Central call a service failure. Well deserved I might add. Have 2 alarm clocks and neither went off this morning so was going to be late anyway. Why didn't they go off? Well it seems that some tired driver, after he set the clocks, moved the button, ON BOTH OF THEM, one position to far and turned them off instead of on. Sigh!!! When it rains, it pours.
