so the turbo whine sounds different than normal when under pressure. Just now I was driving up a hill and lost power to the turbo. My turbo psi dropped and I pulled to the side and checked no leaks or anything unusual. I was parked maybe 5min when I decided to move it to a safer spot when I was driving to a safer spot the turbo started working again but sounded kinda bad now I’m parked no oil leaks doesn’t seem like any ripped hoses unless I’m looking right?
What would be the problem?
Is the turbo giving out?
Thanks for the feedback
Turbo sounds weird?

The turbo sound was louder than normal and yes more of a steel on steel whining grinding noise.

Be very careful ... if your turbo feeds oil to the intake the engine could run away on you and blow up... I wouldn’t run it if I suspected a damaged turbo

The turbo is done.
GEt it replaced before it shatters and you're left with a hefty bill of taking everything apart to clean out the broke pieces. -
Take the hose off going to the ATA cooler. Look inside at the fins. Look for fins rubbing on sides, spin by hand. Check for oil leaking. Check for play.A little play is normal, as long as it’s not rubbing the inside of the housing. Maybe your wastegate is sticking.

Check your air filter first.
