They have never given me a problem about logging 15 min when I get to shipper/ reciever for load/ unload, then the rest on line 2. I usually will not log line 1 when there, I am not really off duty. I am in the truck. So I log it as sleeper berth, which is where I am.
If waiting for a load at a shipper, waiting for them to call you to a door or something you are supposed to log that as on duty not driving. But actually in the door and in sleeper i log it that way.

I was in Maine this morning, and they have a hard on for Western Express. I know that they have been ticketing there drivers for not logging on line 4 when getting loaded. I am not sure on the actual federal rule on it though. I believe we are correct and that some states DOT officers are wrong. But you would have to post for Logs-R-US in another thread to find out for sure.

With this company I never run more than 5 or 6 days a week, and always get a reset. So I have not been bothering to shorten my load and unload times. Now on 6 days weeks like this week I have to watch, so I will not short myself. But most weeks are 5 days 14 hours a day, which is my 70. So no problem. I just log it line 4 and they cannot ask questions.
I actually had a LVL 3, Driver and walk around, day before yesterday in New York. Got my clean bill, so good to go.

Well I actually read off and on for the last few days and ended up reading all 226 pages of this thing. It's kinda like reading a soap opera on tv. You get sucked into everyone's stories.
Jess: it's funny you say you're moving out of Idaho because it's getting too expensive. I am moving up there with my GF up by her mother's house in Eagle because of the cost of Commiefornia.
I think between reading this and other threads I will be looking into Central if I finally go that direction career wise. BTW does anyone know what those disqualifying criminal history things are? My history is more than 16 years old and no felonies.

Hi Biggja and welcome to the Central part of the thread!! Your moving to Eagle cool....that's right next to Meridian, so if you do go with Central you won't have a problem getting home time and A load outta here after home time.

I would just give Central a call or maybe Fozzy will read this and be able to help you out.

Idaho is getting more expensive so we have decided to move down south to Alabama and try get a place that if we want to we can park the truck and trailer in the drive.

I hope our version of a soap didn't bore you to much :biggrin_2559:
