Ya, I probably pulled in something like 15 scales this time out. A good 5 or 6 of those were red lights on the prepass. That red light hadn't turned on for several months before this past week.

I have never even been pulled in a scale in Texas in 2 years. This last time I got a full blown DOT on 59 west of Houston. What sucks was I just picked this trailer up and got a fix it ticket for a hole the size of a silver dollar in the trailers mud flap. That was it all else was fine. I am beginning to think we did piss someone off somewhere.

I just got dot'd in North Carolina with a cracked windshield. I know he had to see the crack and it was written on my driver report in my log. He did a quick driver only inspect and sent me on my way. I did get red lighted twice in the last week, but at least one of them was half expected. In both cases everyone in front of me was also pulled in.
By the way during the warm weather the Williamsville scale on southbound side of I-55 in Illinois has DOT Thursday and many times Tuesday also. That means that every Thursday afternoon and occasionally Tuesdays also will be crawling with DOT and forget about getting a green light. Make sure you get under 30 mph and you have a good chance of getting the bypass lane. I have never gotten a green light at the Northbound I-55 scale just north of Litchfield.
