If he only got responses that could help him he would get no responses . You made good points but wannabes and newbies created the oversupply of drivers by not being smart enough to realize the trucking industry is not recessionproof . Fleets are laying off more and more drivers and more and more people think they can go to school and be truckers . The result is the lowest starting rates in 30 years and carriers knowing every time they terminate a driver there are thousands of wannabes desperate to take his place .

The issue was over when he decided the course that he took because of what? To prove a point. He may or may not ( which I doubt) have a case but that will have nothing to do with trucking. He failed to provide for his pet by not having a recourse for all occasions.
So what more can be done on this board when you see all the postings about being prepared when going on the road and protecting your driving record? The information is all here he just failed to take the advice of people that have been there and done that.
And you're right no one is perfect but that's why there are saying what they are saying. I know I and others have said more than once take a look at the regulations in the little green book or on-line at the FMCSA but some do not take the time and they get caught doing something that is spelled out. So what kind of advice can you give once a driver shoots themselves in the foot? -
Ah GH, guess we need to find a "kinder, gentle-er approach." Don't wanna hurt nobody's feelings by telling them the truth, ya know...

It seems that certain folks come on here looking more for sympathy when they have screwed up, than looking for advice. When told the truth, they become defensive...
